Hey 👋🏻, i'm Jack.
I currently work full-time in the Data Engineering team at a global insurance technology provider - Cover Genius.
I am also working with Raveen Senanayake on how to make sustainability effortless through modern applications of IOT & AI at everydayzero.co.
I have founded and launched numerous companies/products including Daniel Francis Entertainment - an entertainment agency specialising in booking musicians for live events around Sydney. I have automated 90% of the work in this business.
Drop a message if you're keen to chat.

Daniel Francis Entertainment | FounderSoftware Engineer | Currently | Product ManagementBusiness ManagementSoftware EngineeringSoftware Architect | Notable Points: Achieved best growth after doubling down on a market segment in events ($12k/M) - Weddings & Roving Bands. The new focus allowed us to systemise processes with a mixture of tech and written procedures. This enabled to spend more time on revenue drivers → Customer relationships & word-of-mouth. All our internal tech is built in-house by me. I work with one booking manager, Ned, who handles all of our bookings. I cover the backend and marketing. This business is 90% automated.
You can book a band by emailing ned@danielfrancis.com.au. Say hi 👋! | https://www.danielfrancis.com.au

Everyday Zero | Co-FounderSoftware Engineer | Currently | Software EngineeringProduct ManagementBusiness ManagementDesign | Everyday Zero is on a mission to make sustainability and healthy eating effortless for modern offices. We use evidence based design to make better choices, easier choices - Sustainability made effortless.
Backstory: After working on developing a direct consumer beverage brand, Cocomad, my business partner (Raveen) and myself became increasingly concerned about waste - specifically from single use plastics. The current solution of asking consumers to be sustainable is simply not going to solve the problem long term - it’s too fragmented.
We think there are huge gains to be made with reducing single use waste in Sydney just by changing the way that office kitchen snacks are catered. We also think that a large proportion of the waste problem can be solved simply through good behavioural economics - i.e. placing consumers in situations where the choice to be sustainable is convenient.
The value of our system is two fold. Not only can an office kitchen effectively remove all single use products, but our system also promotes healthier eating through subtle nudges using modern behavioural economics.
Cocomad | Software EngineerCo-Founder | 2022 | Software EngineeringBusiness ManagementProduct Management | Cocomad is a King Coconut Water ecommerce brand. Check us out on Tiktok or at cocomad.co! #unconventionallypremium.
We successfully validated that there was not going to be a large market demand for this product without extensive brand development. We were also concerned about the amount of waste we were producing just as a small time ecom brand (seriously). To solve this, we started Everyday Zero.
IKIRII | Co-Founder | 2022 | Product ManagementBusiness ManagementDesignSoftware Engineering | Myself and a good friend, Raveen, did a full market analysis of ecommerce in Australia (and to an extent in the US) and decided that personalised cosmetics was going to be a growth area in the next 2-5 years. We developed a brand, marketing plan and schematics for a product but ultimately decided to shelve the concept. We were struggling with marketing the product and empathising with our target customer correctly. To fix this we’ve decided to start a new brand, Cocomad (see above), which we believe will be a simpler brand for us to execute on.
Attend Token | Co-Founder | 2022 | Software ArchitectProduct Management | I love events, music & tech. I teamed up with an events producer and artist manager friend of mine, Harold, to build out a custom Proof Of Attendance app for live events. We’re in the process of beta testing at Vivid! A WIP that is currently backlogged due to other projects taking more precedence!
Freelancer.com | Software Engineer Intern | 2021-2022 | Software Engineering | Scored an internship with an awesome company where I was already an advocate of the product.
I assembled a team that ended up winning our internal company Hackathon. This feature has now been deployed as “Video Bids”. Check it out by posting a job on freelancer.com
ExcelCracker | Founder | 2022 | Product Management | Recently my Uncle forgot a password to a really important excel spreadsheet. He called me to ‘crack’ the password and I thought it might be a good idea for a ‘microsaas’ business. Rather than building out the whole app, i’m hosting a single page app with an email where you can submit your locked up .xls file! If there are enough hits, i’ll build it out.
It’s been a good op to learn google ads and try a different way of gauging a product!
Update: Got some responses but not enough to be viable financially.
Simconverse | Junior Software Developer | 2021 | Software Engineering | It was a privilege to work with 2 incredibly intelligent founders early in their startup’s journey. The product, concept and execution is fantastic.

Ended up not quite panning out but there were some awesome learnings around product, people and clients! You can read more at blog.jackpurdon.io.
iPay | Co-Founder | 2021 | Software ArchitectProduct Management | After working with the Labour hire business in Sydney, Sendon did the due dilligence around releasing a SAAS for Labour Hire businesses. It’s a crowded space.
Calendar Union | Founder | 2021 | Software ArchitectDesign | Thought the interface for when2meet.com wasn’t great and could be improved. Spent 1 week with the aim of launching the MVP.
Sendon | Co-Founder | 2020-2021 | Software ArchitectClient Relations | A software consulting company started by myself and Raveen Senanayake in order to grow our software expertise. We worked on a custom implementation of a HRMS with a labour-hire business.
